Jeff Rider, a Des Moines-based painter, has graciously agreed to allow the band to use his artwork for the new CD. To coincide with the upcoming release, spidertranslator.com has been given a new look, based on this same artwork. If you like what you see, please let Jeff know. The new CD is almost done! The title has been confirmed: "Spinning In My Grave (My Sodden Bedsheets)." We have learned that the new disc will have 9 brand-new tracks, and from what we've heard, this is by far the best sounding Spider Translator work, ever.

New CD released! Through the grace of Gus and the Government and Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, a new Spider Translator track has been released. "The Music That Nobody Likes" is a tribute album of Carter songs from 20 different bands, including a Spider Translator version of "A Perfect Day to Drop the Bomb." The compilation is now available for purchase in our store and also directly from the producer.

New LP released! The Spider Translator & Protus remixes of two Human Aftertaste tracks are now available. Side A is The Spider Translator remix of the Human Aftertaste cover of the Q Lazarus song "Goodbye Horses". You will recall the song from the movie Silence of the Lambs. Side B is a Protus remix of the Human Aftertaste song "Taboo You." This is an extremely limited run of 12" LPs, so get it now while it's still available.

Unexpected delays in the release of "Goobye Horses / Taboo You" have been resolved. The final arrangements have been made, and the pressing plant should be shipping the record in April.

Mr. E has completed guitar tracking for two fresh Pitch Black Manor songs, written by longtime collaborator Chad Fifer (Fear Boys with Bugs). The tracks will soon be in the hands of PBM crooner J Bentley, of current Human Aftertaste fame, and while the final results of this project are probably a long way off, it's very existence has set fire to dark souls in all corners of the Quad Cities.

New Dick Taut Live date set! Unofficial sources are saying that Dick has picked April 30 for their first 2005 show. Location: Peoria, Il. So far, there's no mention on the official site, but keep an eye on the DT&R site for breaking news.

Email correspondece between Mr. E, Charlie, and Grahm Eberhardt (of Mayhem Lettuce) tells us that the Carter USM tribute CD is now only missing the final artwork before manufacturing begins.

Upon being admitted to Mr. Erickson's studio, a friend has told us he found Mr. E sitting at the mixing desk, staring into space. An mighty drone filled the air, and when shaken out of his stupor he uttered something about "alpha waves" and quickly escorted the intruder out.
